The 2015 Rigged Federal Way City Council Election

The following is basically what A.S.L.N. wrote on Facebook earlier today regarding the Federal Way City Council, Position 1 election in 2015, which was rigged by the Municipal League of King County, against me and in favor of a disabled immigrant, apparently due to ‘open borders’ fanaticism and, probably, misguided compassion placed above their ethical duty to rate all candidates objectively and fairly, thereby missing a chance to hold elections sacrosanct above any favoritism based on their open borders, leftist worldview or even utilitarian concerns. The former league now appears to be defunct, which is a blessing to fair elections in King County, Washington…they should stay shut down forever.

I forgot to mention in the Facebook summary that the Municipal League, regarding their fateful interview of me in 2015 for the Position 1 Council seat, actually gave me a wrong address to report to for that interview, and I didn’t get the right address from them or somebody (my memory is a little faded now) until I went to the wrong address about an hour before I showed up to the right address. As a result of their foul-up, which appeared to be intentional in retrospect, I ended up literally running to the right address, which I believe was about 3 miles away from the wrong address, so, I was out-of-breath and a little off-kilter when starting the interview in which I was 5 minutes late because of their probable intentional misdirection. After all, I’m the kind of person that likes to show up for any kind of interview at least a half-hour early so that I have time to settle down and get myself ready, but after their “mistake”, which I’m not sure they even called it that, I arrived at the interview a little rattled instead.

  • American Sun-Light News is continuing to try to get to the bottom of why and exactly what was entailed in how the defunct or all-but-defunct Municipal League of King County rigged the Federal Way City Council, Position 1 election in the year 2015. It’s pretty clear, though, that they really wanted a disabled immigrant to win, because, I guess, that fits all kinds of virtue signaling points, among other things, so, they suppressed their own questionnaires (which never saw the light of day…very unusually, if not the only occasion, for Muny League questionnaires in general…’never saw the light of day’ except for my own [questionnaire], which I, myself, published a few times) and they called me ‘unqualified’ even though they ‘qualified’ me six years prior to that time, in 2009, when I ran against Reagan Dunn for county council.
  • Why is this important? Just in case they come out of their little ramshackle corner of the world and start trying to influence elections again, particularly any the Revived Citizens Party might be involved in. At least A.S.L.N. can document that they intentionally tried to rig an election and that they really can’t be trusted to rate candidates fairly. By the way, when are they ever going to publish those 2015 candidate questionnaires (hee hee )?
  • Postscript: Imagine my surprise, almost shock, when immediately after posting the original part of this essay, I curiously decided to look at the Municipal League of King County’s Facebook page, and lo and behold, I saw Federal Way Mayor Jim Ferrell standing in a group photo, and front and center at that…as though he was the leader. I never had the foggiest idea that Ferrell was in any way involved with the administration of the Municipal League of King County…until today. In addition to Ferrell being apparently significantly involved with the Municipal League, ex-columnist for the Sound Publishing/Federal Way Mirror network, Bob Roegner, was one of the Municipal League’s board members for years, something that I wasn’t aware of, unfortunately, until after the 2015 election.
  • Most people in Federal Way know that Roegner is a scoundrel of the highest order as well as a leftist and has been the ‘detractor-of-scurrilous-record’ of my political career in Federal Way for years. It would be interesting to know if Ferrell, in addition to Roegner, had connections with the Municipal League in 2015, if not directly, at least if he had associations with administrative people that worked for them. Ferrell had a huge interest in seeing that my opponent that year, Lydia Assefa Dawson, was elected, thus me defeated. Were both Ferrell and Roegner working behind the scenes to ensure that the Municipal League of King County gave me an ‘unqualified’ rating that year?
  • If Ferrell, who was mayor for all of 2015, was involved in that ‘unqualified’ decision (which I probably would have won the election if it was anything but), it almost smells of illegality of some kind, but probably not actually, just the usual scoundrelly political shenanigans if that was the case. I don’t know much; that’s why American Sun-Light News is continuing to investigate. The sleazy troika of Jim Ferrell, Bob Roegner and Rudi Alcott, a.k.a. ‘Mr. Federal Way’ as well as a former Mirror publisher (perhaps Alcott was involved with “the rating”, only possibly, considering his deranged attacks on me as ‘Mr. Federal Way’ that year), may have had more to do with that Municipal League 2015 decision than I ever could have imagined, especially Roegner. With any luck, the truth will come out and Ferrell’s professional political career will be on its last legs.

P.P.S.: The Facebook summary part, above, was edited slightly (5/14/23) to improve the understanding of the story. The entire essay was edited in general, also on 5/14/23, for basically the same purpose.
