It would reduce the term of office from four years to two years for certain municipal officials, including councilmembers in towns, council-manager cities, and first class mayor-council cities with seven councilmembers, and councilmembers and the mayor, treasurer, and comptroller in first-class mayor-council cities with twelve councilmembers.
