  • Trump’s Neocon Lite Tendencies…Post Script

    Despite our misgivings about whether Mr. Trump is actually going to implement a watered down America First policy or a firm, upright one (see our preceding post, “Trump’s Neocon Lite Tendencies are Worrisome”), we would like to give his oncoming, fledgling administration the benefit of the doubt. Sebastian Gorka, for instance, Trump’s pick for Senior Director for Counter-Terrorism, seems to be a neocon but, at least, the position that he will be in would appear not to be so much focused on the direction of foreign policy, per se, but focusing on a defensive posture as it relates to national security. Gorka concerns us slightly less than the other neocons, Rubio and Waltz, given the position he’ll be in, yet in still, his commentary on Newsmax suggests that he has an “Old Cold War” mindset, wherein he can’t seem to let go of his seeming, early Russophobia that, apparently, developed before the New Russia came about when Boris Yeltsin, the president of Russia for almost all of the nineteen-nineties, came to power. In other words, Gorka is an old school Cold Warrior, and it’s troubling that he would have the ear of Mr. Trump on matters outside of his bailiwick, such as the Russia – Ukraine War. The only thing the United States needs to do with the Eastern European war is get out of it as soon as January 20th, 2025 (Inauguration Day), and preferably today. Of course, it would be great if Mr. Trump could come up with a peace plan that both Putin and Zelensky would agree to but that should not be the determining factor for us to withdraw from the conflict unilaterally, without conditions. We, the American People that elected Trump, need to hold him to his “America First” promise…and to paraphrase our First President, George Washington, “Stay out of foreign entanglements”.

  • Athleticism, Being Classy and Politics

    At the Generation Jumpstart Club, an affiliate of American Sun-Light News & Literature and the Party of Commons, we value all of what is enshrined in the title, and then some, such as self-defense in general. We’re a relatively young club, barely a year old and predominately for young women, adult late teens to 24, or thereabouts [in other words, the genesis of Generation Jumpstart], politically active (anywhere from moderate to conservative or traditional but will consider any political outlook), athletically inclined, aesthetically aware regarding our looks (that pretty much means no tattoos and a general natural look), studious, savvy and streetwise. If you apply for membership and are accepted (7 to 1 odds) and take an interest in being on the board, you can help us plan athletic activities, like baseball or softball and flag football, as well as women’s boxing and self-defense courses. We also have coffee shop discussion groups. Board members help us plan general club activities.   • Trump’s Neocon Lite Tendencies are Worrisome

    We supported Trump’s election but Trump promised America an “America First” agenda but he has a funny way of showing it by staffing his administration, in the first days after his election victory, with neocons like Marco Rubio, Mike Waltz and Sebastian Gorka. You want to know how to solve the Eastern European War problem…easy, just stay the hell out of it unless you have a quick peace plan that everybody can agree to. If not, we repeat, just stay the hell out of it. As for other tension-filled, problematic areas of the world, that’s easy, too…just stay the hell out of it. We thought America First meant focusing on America’s problems and pretty much ONLY America’s…we’ll see.

  • Friends of Mark Greene for Congress – 9th District

    Mark filed to run for Congress on May 10, 2024 as a Republican candidate in Washington State’s 9th District.

    Mark’s main points as written by him: “My run for Congress is focused on a few basic desires by the Ninth District of Washington, safe streets, good, traditional education for the youth of America, secure borders, nationhood, and the robust economy that we had during the Trump era.  America 1st!”

    The election will take place in August this year, 2024.

    Finish the wall, deport lawbreakers, secure the borders. 

    Virtually No Foreign Aid

    Significantly hollow-out foreign aid by at least two-thirds. Use the savings to help balance the budget.

    Reduce National Debt, Rationally

    Get rid of useless departments and agencies, e.g., the Department of Education, cut spending by 3% across the board except Social Security, and thereafter 1% annually until the budget is balanced.

    Revamp schools:  Allow for greater school choice, including charter schools, abolish the Department of Education as well as some federal mandates on school.

    Stay out of wars and proxy wars.  General non-interventionist. Rethink alliances (doesn’t necessarily mean get out of them).
